Our handcrafted designs feature raw, untreated brass, copper, and sterling silver. These metal alloys will naturally change over time, developing a beautiful patina or surface tarnish. How quickly this happens depends on how your jewelry is stored and cared for. While some love the rich, timeworn character that develops, others prefer the fresh, bright look of newly polished metal. At Studio Avana, we aim to create jewelry that can be enjoyed by everyone. Our main designs incorporate raw and untreated brass, copper, and sterling silver. While these metals are considered hypoallergenic, we advise caution if you have a specific allergy or sensitivity to any of them, especially with pieces worn directly on the skin. Our ear wires are made from hypoallergenic 14k gold-filled or sterling silver, our stud ear posts are sterling silver, and our clip-on attachments are silicone. We are happy to customize ear wires based on your needs!
